‘Taken 3’ Tops Box Office During Opening Weekend


Taken 3 has stormed to the top of the North American box office in its opening weekend.

The third film in the Liam Neeson action franchise has raked in $40.4 million (£25.25 million) to debut ahead of Martin Luther King, Jr. biopic Selma, which comes in at number two with $11.2 million.

Movie musical Into the Woods is at three with $9.8 million, while The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and Unbroken round out the top five, at fourth and fifth place, respectively.
