Vanessa Hudgens Heads to Broadway in ‘Gigi’
High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens’ Broadway dreams have been realized – her hit new stage show Gigi is heading to New York.
The big theater news was announced on Wednesday and the actress took to Instagram to celebrate with fans.
She wrote, “Omg (oh my God) I can’t believe it!!!!!! It’s official, after DC I’m going to be making my Broadway debut with @gigionbroadway. Feeling so blessed, grateful and extremely excited!!!!!”
The revival of the play, about a simple Parisian girl who is trained to be a courtesan, will begin performances in March at the Neil Simon Theater. Opening night is set for April 8th.
Meanwhile, Hudgens and her castmates will stage the show at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. from Friday.
