‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Director Sam Taylor-Wood Banned from Screening Film

Studio bosses have banned Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Wood from screening the movie for her family and friends amid fears they will leak details of the top secret Hollywood project.

The erotic thriller, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, is due for release next month, and Taylor-Wood reveals movie bosses have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep details of the film quiet before it hits cinemas.

She tells Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “The security is tighter than on any other film made in Hollywood. Ordinarily I would have screened it for people by now but I’m not allowed to. I haven’t even been allowed a ‘friends and family’ screening. The studio’s frightened someone will tweet, or put something about it on Facebook.”

The much-anticipated film is based on the raunchy book trilogy by E. L. James.

Are you planning to check out the film when it hits theaters next month?
