Matt Healy Denies Taylor Swift Dating Rumors

Matt Healy has dismissed suggestions he dated pop star Taylor Swift last year, branding the rumors “fake” and a “farce”.

Swift was linked to The 1975 frontman before the Christmas holidays, and gossip about a romance between the pair failed to die down even after her representative branded the singer “happily single”.

Healy has now spoken out about reports they have been dating for two months, confirming he swapped numbers with Swift, but insisting they are not involved romantically.

During an interview with Australian radio station 2Day FM, Healy explains, “Two months? It’s b**ody fake. It’s all a farce. We met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this world do. We spoke occasionally. There’s no relationship or anything happening. It’s just funny how people really buy into that… It didn’t really happen… As much as it would be amazing for me if it did, unfortunately it didn’t.”
