Fergie and Husband Josh Duhamel Regularly Attend Marriage Counseling

Fergie and her actor husband Josh Duhamel keep their marriage on track by attending regular therapy sessions.

The “L.A. Love (La La)” hitmaker reveals the couple has embraced the idea of marriage counseling to ensure any problems that may arise are properly discussed and resolved, and she is proud of her husband for taking an active interest in therapy.

She tells Allure magazine, “He’s not afraid. He doesn’t feel like he’s not man enough.”

Fergie and Duhamel have also set out ground rules to ensure their family life with son Axl isn’t thrown into disarray by the singer’s upcoming tour plans, as they take turns to play stay-at-home parents.

She explains, “My husband and I made a two-week rule (not to spend over two weeks apart). We’ve already talked about how we’re going to have to trade off.

“He’s going to have to come on tour with Axl for a while, and then there’ll be a break. He’ll take a job; I’ll be on set with Axl.”

The couple wed in 2009 and the marriage was tested the same year when exotic dancer Nicole Forrester claimed she had slept with the Transformers star.

In a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Fergie confessed that dealing with the infidelity allegations against her husband was “difficult”, but added, “When you go through difficult times it really makes you stronger as a unit. As a partnership. It does for us anyways. Our love today is a deeper love.”

The couple renewed its wedding vows a month after the cheating allegations surfaced.

Fergie told Oprah, “We’re strong today because of anything difficult that’s happened with us. We deal with it. We communicate. Communicating’s the most important thing.”
