Beyonce Takes On Etsy Over Copyright Infringement

Beyonce has waged war against bosses of arts and craft website Etsy over the sale of handmade goods which allegedly infringe her brand.

The singer’s attorney has threatened legal action against Etsy bosses over a seller who is offering up mugs emblazoned with a diamond band and the word ‘Feyonce’, a play on ‘fiance’ and a purported reference to Beyonce’s song “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”

Editors at TMZ report Beyonce’s team fired off a letter to the company threatening legal action over the mugs, prompting bosses to remove the seller’s goods from the trading portal.

However, the website still lists a variety of Feyonce goods from other sellers, including T-shirts, glasses and cards.

We think the merch is pretty cute, but we also understand the importance of protecting a brand.
