Dakota Johnson Sustained Painful Neck Injury During ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Filming

Dakota Johnson was left with an agonizing neck injury after her co-star Jamie Dornan threw her onto a bed during a passionate sex scene for upcoming erotic drama Fifty Shades of Grey.

The stars play a bondage-obsessed businessman and his submissive lover in the saucy movie, and they admit acting out S&M role play tested their professional skills to the max.

In one scene, Dornan was required to hurl Johnson onto a bed in the middle of a romp, and the actress was left with whiplash after shooting multiple takes.

However, Johnson has paid tribute to her male co-star for his gallantry on-set, insisting he was always keen to spare her blushes as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.

She tells Glamour , “Jamie would be the first one to throw a blanket over me. And he did a lot of studying, just to make sure that I was as safe as possible. But there were some painful moments. I got whiplash once, from him throwing me on to the bed. But that was only because we did it over and over and over again.”

Dornan adds, “I felt very protective and aware that it probably wasn’t easy for her to be put in those situations.”

Whiplash is no fun, but seriously, not a bad way to get it if it’s going to happen.
