Lil Wayne Releasing Free Album

Lil Wayne is preparing to release a new album for free as he continues to battle his record label bosses over a series of delays.

The hitmaker is locked in a $51 million lawsuit with his longtime mentor and Cash Money Records owner Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams, amid allegations he and his associates violated a deal they made with Wayne by withholding millions they allegedly owe him for his long-delayed album, Tha Carter V.

The hip-hop star is demanding Cash Money executives pay up and allow him to walk free from his contract, taking proteges Drake and Nicki Minaj with him.

As the legal battle continues to play out in the courts, Wayne has decided to share new material with fans by announcing the upcoming release of The Free Weezy Album.

Taking to Twitter, he writes, “The Free Weezy Album…komin (sic) soon… Free album. Free Weezy season. The Free Weezy Album.”

The news emerges weeks after Wayne treated fans to the mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait 2 as an apology for the lack of new material.
