Pharrell Turning ‘Happy’ into Children’s Picture Book

Grammy-award winner Pharrell Williams is heading into new territory…he has signed a deal to release four children’s picture books.

One of the publications will be inspired by the star’s smash hit “Happy,” which the singer won 2 Grammys for and was featured on the soundtrack for kids movie Despicable Me 2, and the the first book in the series is due for release in September, with an initial print run of 250,000 copies.

According to Billboard.com, “Putnam announced Tuesday that the book, “Happy,” will be published Sept. 22 and will feature photographs of children from around the world “celebrating what it means to be happy.” It plans a first printing of 250,000 copies.”
