‘The Walking Dead’ Gets 90-Minute Season Finale

AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead is set to air an extended finale to close out its fifth season.

Fans of the series are in for a treat (or an over-extended sadness and gore fest, depending on how you look at it) as AMC has announced that this season’s Walking Dead finale has been extended to 90 minutes.

If you’ve been keeping up, you know that Rick and the group have been faced with non-stop turmoil all season and that with the recent losses of Beth and Tyrese, the group’s morale has been at an all-time low. Now faced with the prospect of a safe place to live, brought about by the morally ambiguous Aaron (for the non-comic book readers), the group has traveled to Alexandria to see if they can finally get a little stability (and showers).

While we don’t know exactly what kind of situation the group will be in by the time we reach the finale just yet, it’s good to know that we can look forward to spending a little more time with them in the finale…and hopefully not lose anyone else this season (*fingers crossed*).

Don’t miss The Walking Dead‘s season five finale when it airs March 29 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
