Taylor Swift Tracked Down Fan Who Spent Hours Waiting to Meet Her

Taylor Swift surprised one of her most dedicated fans by tracking her down in line after she had waited 20 hours just to get a glimpse of the pop star as she went into the BBC Studios in London on Tuesday.

The hitmaker paid a visit to Radio 1’s Breakfast Show, and when superfan Sinead Murray found out about the appearance, she decided to wait for Swift outside the studio on Monday.

Throughout the 20 hours outside in the cold, Murray was posting pictures and sending out updates to her social media accounts, including her Tumblr blog, which Swift follows.

Murray tells Buzzfeed.com that when Swift arrived at the studio at around 8am (local time) on Tuesday, the singer immediately asked where she was and tracked her down.

Murray recalls, “Someone must have told her where I was because her publicist came over to me and said, ‘Are you Sinead?’ A few minutes later Taylor Swift was coming towards me! She said: ‘Hey Sinead!’ And I was freaking out because she knew my name.

“I am completely blown away that my idol wanted to meet me and I can’t thank her enough. She’s even more of an angel in person – if that’s at all possible.”

Swift was in London for the BRIT Awards on Wednesday night, where she opened the prizegiving with a performance of “Blank Space,” and later won her first BRIT for International Female Artist.
