Tim Burton to Direct Disney’s Live-Action ‘Dumbo’ Film

Tim Burton is set to reinvent another Disney film classic after signing on to direct a live-action Dumbo.

Inspired by the iconic 1941 animated film about a baby circus elephant whose huge ears make him a figure of fun, Burton’s film will be a mix of computer technology and live-action, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Burton’s take on Disney’s Alice in Wonderland was a huge hit, as was Angelina Jolie’s turn as Sleeping Beauty villain Maleficent.

Meanwhile, Lily James’ live-action Cinderella hits theaters this weekend.

Being that Tim Burton is directing, it’s only fair to assume that Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter will end up in this film a well. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the live-action remake in general, as well as your casting ideas for two of Burton’s regular actors.
