‘Glee’ Finale Pays Tribute to Cory Monteith with Final Episode
Cast members of Glee paid tribute to their late co-star Cory Monteith in the series’ finale episode, which aired last night. Fans were able to relive Monteith’s best moments as Fin Hudson in the special two-hour finale.
Producers split the episode into two parts – the first was a flashback to 2009 featuring Monteith, and the second was a look into the future, showing the high school auditorium in 2020, when it has been renamed in honor of his character, Hudson.
This wasn’t the first tribute that Glee has done for Monteith, in the series’ 100th episode, Dianna Agron and Amber Riley returned alongside Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, and Naya Rivera also honored their friend.
Monteith was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, Canada in 2013 after ingesting a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.
