American Horror Story fans may not be getting Connie Britton back on the show just yet, but the actress has been added to the roster of talent for the first season of Ryan Murphy’s new FX project, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

Ryan Murphy announced today that Britton has signed on to play Faye Resnick, a friend of Simpson’s murdered ex-wife Nicole Brown and L.A. socialite.

Also starring in the series are Oscar winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. as Simpson, fellow AHS alum Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as Simpson’s lawyer Johnnie Cochran, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, and former Friends star David Schwimmer, who will take on the roll of Simpson’s late friend and attorney, Robert Kardashian.
