Giancarlo Esposito Talks Returning to ‘Once Upon a Time’

Once Upon a Time fans know that the universe is so immense that characters can (and do) float in and out of the storyline at will. One such character that’s been floating since the first season of the show is half-man, half-mirror Sidney Glass, portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito.

When we last saw Sidney, he was (once again) trapped in Regina’s mirror, and helped she and Emma track down the Snow Queen during last year’s Frozen arc, and it sounds like we haven’t seen the last of Mr. Glass.

We recently had a chance to chat with Giancarlo and had to ask him if there was a chance we’d see Regina’s old friend make his way back into the storyline. “Always!” he replied.”You know, I love [the show’s creators] Eddie and Adam!”

He continued, “I have yet to make that phone call in the second part of this season, but I will. They know that I really dig them. They wanted me to come back for more than just 2 or 3, we couldn’t figure it out, but as soon as I’m available, I’m going to call them again and say ‘I need to come back. I need my fix too!'”
