‘Game of Thrones’ Star Maisie Williams to Guest Star on ‘Doctor Who’

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams will be guest starring on Doctor Who!

After a press tour full of interviews and premieres for Game of Thrones, Williams is back in the UK and taking on her next project – a guest role on BBC’s Doctor Who.

“I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture,” Williams said on her first day on set. “I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”

“We’re thrilled to have Maisie Williams joining us on Doctor Who. It’s not possible to say too much about who or what she’s playing, but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways. This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.” Executive producer and lead writer, Steven Moffat, added.

Other guest stars confirmed for the new season include Rufus Hound, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Murray McArthur, Tom Stourton, Ariyon Bakare, John Voce, Barnaby Kay, and Struan Rodger.

We’ll keep you posted as more details surface about Williams’ role on the series which returns this fall!
