A ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Teaser Is Here and We Don’t Know Why

Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey, isn’t due to be released until 2017, nor does it have a director, but that didn’t stop anyone from releasing a teaser to get people talking.

Fifty Shades of Grey was a success in the box office, but there was a bit of drama behind the scenes for sure. There were plenty of rumors about the film’s stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan having difficulty in the chemistry /getting along at all department and on top of that, the same issues were definitely brewing between Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson and the series’ author E.L. James. Things got so bad, in fact, Taylor-Johnson walked away for the project after filming completed.

The studio has not found a new director for the rest of the Fifty Shades films yet, which is another reason why releasing the teaser seems a little…odd?

We’re not complaining. Any day we get to see Jamie Dornan in motion is a good day, but was the REALLY necessary?

Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled to hit theaters Feb. 10, 2017.
