The ‘Vacation’ Trailer Is Here But All We Noticed Was Chris Hemsworth

The Griswolds are back and they’re ready to take another trip to Wallyworld in the new Vacation trailer.

The upcoming film follows the grown-up Griswold children, Rusty and Audrey, as they prepare to take their families on the same vacation they experienced with their parents 30 years ago. The trailer is full of callbacks to the original National Lampoon’s film, but wastes no time reminding audiences that if you haven’t seen the classic, “It’s ok, the new vacation will stand on its own.”

Watch the crazy trailer below (and keep and eye out for Chris Hemsworth at the end)!

Vacation was written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein and stars Ed Helms as Russell “Rusty” Griswold; Christina Applegate as Rusty’s wife Debbie Griswold; Leslie Mann as Audrey Griswold-Crandall; Chris Hemsworth as an up-and-coming anchorman and Audrey’s husband, Stone Crandall, and National Lampoon’s Vacation originals Beverly D’Angelo and Chevy Chase make their return as Ellen Griswold and Clark Griswold.

The 1983 comedy starred Beverly D’Angelo and Chevy Chase as the aloof parents and was written by John Hughes and directed by Harold Ramis.

The Atlanta-filmed Vacation will be hitting theaters July 29.
