ABC Renews ‘Once Upon A Time,’ ‘Marvel’s Agent Carter’ and 20 More

ABC’s Upfront presentation for 2015 and 2016 is next Tuesday, May 12. However, last night the network released renewal notices for 10 dramas, six comedies and six reality series.

Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, American Crime, Castle, Once Upon a Time, Secrets and Lies and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have all been renewed and aren’t a big surprise for fans. Two series that were on the fence, Nashville and Marvel’s Agent Carter, have also been renewed.

On the comedy side, we’ll see black-ish and Fresh Off the Boat, The Goldbergs, The Middle, Modern Family and Galavant all return.

On the reality programming side, no surprises here – America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, Shark Tank Beyond the Tank and 20/20 have all been renewed as well.

Now for the bad news, Resurrection, Forever, Cristela and The Taste have all been cancelled. We announced previously that Revenge would be ending as well, with its final episode airing this Sunday night.

ABC has also announced that they are ordering six new dramas for the 2015-2016 season including Shonda Rhimes’ The Catch, Of Kings and Prophets, Wicked City, Quantico, The Family and Don Johnson’s still untitled oil boom project.

As for new comedies, ABC has also ordered The Real O’Neals and Dr. Ken along with the series we’re most excited for this fall – a reboot of The Muppets.

We’re still waiting for news on Last Man Standing, we’ll keep you posted as we head into Upfronts’ week!
