FX Releases New ‘The Strain’ Trailer But Still No Premiere Date

Things are getting all out crazy in The Strain‘s second season.

FX’s vampire series doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but that’s not stopping the network from teasing fans with a look at what’s in store for new 13 episode season. New York is completely under attack when we return, which was hinted at in previous teasers, and it’s up to Eph, Setrakian, Vasily and the rest of the group to find a way to put a stop to the virus.

In the trailer we learn that in order to defeat The Master and his strigoi minions the group may try a new approach..infecting the infected. Whether or not this particular attempt will prove as futile as the last one is up to us to watch and find out.

The situation certainly looks grim at the moment and nothing good can come from The Master’s “wonderous transformation”.

Last year the show premiered to impressive numbers, as the most-watched series premiere in FX history with 12.7 million viewers.

The Strain will return to FX this Summer.
