‘The Mindy Project’ Officially Heads to Hulu

The Mindy Project has officially been saved by Hulu, the streaming service announced today.

The network has ordered a full 26 new episodes for season four of the critically acclaimed series, which will join Hulu’s Original Programming slate in a new agreement with Universal Television.

The series stares Mindy Kaling as a skilled OB/GYN who is trying to stay afloat while navigating the tricky waters of both her personal and professional life. The series also stars Chris Messina, Ed Weeks, Ike Barinholtz, Beth Grant and Xosha Roquemore.

“Mindy has been a beloved member of the Hulu family, so this deal is a natural extension of our relationship,” said Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President and Head of Content of Hulu, in a statment. “With so many of her fans already catching up and tuning in to the series on Hulu, we know her millions of fans will be eager to find out what Mindy has in store for the next chapter.”

Kaling also released a statement about the show’s move saying, “I am thrilled The Mindy Project has found a new home on Hulu, where so many of our fans are already watching the show. It’s such an exciting place to be.”
