How Will the Couples of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Fare in Season 6?

Pretty Little Liars is a hit show for a number of reasons: the stars are gorgeous, the fashion is fantastic, the mystery is intriguing, the list goes on and on.

Another key component that fans geek out over about the show is the relationships. As you know, fans take their ‘ships VERY seriously, and now we know what to expect from our favorite couples when they return in season 6.

PLL doesn’t return until June 2nd but thankfully executive producer Oliver Goldstick took some time to tease what to expect from our favorite couples when it’s back. Check out what Goldstick had to say about our two favorite ships below and head on over to ET.com to read the rest!

“Spencer (Troian Bellisario) will be challenged as well, but the great news is she’s got an inside track at the Rosewood PD,” the showrunner said. “So Spencer — who has always led a lot of this mystery train — holds the key because she was obviously the first one to see [Charles’] movie….I would just say that her romance may get a little addled by the mystery of it all, but that doesn’t mean her romance goes away completely.”

Haleb

“Because of [Hanna’s] trauma, she might not be able to appreciate how great Caleb is right away in [season] six…But I think that these two have something that is pretty damn special…I think he’s always been there to support her with every decision she makes, and I think he remains the perfect boyfriend in so many ways.”

It also sounds like Ali’s love life will get even more interesting for Ali, with Goldstick revealing she could have a new love interest headed her way (unless it’s Emily). “”I think you’re going to be excited that there’s life after prison for Alison and that she doesn’t have to wear orange…Once she puts on a different color she may be attracted to somebody in Rosewood who you won’t expect — an unlikely person. And an unlikely person might find her very attractive.”

Pretty Little Liars returns to ABC Family on Tuesday, June 2 at 8 p.m.
