One of the things I love about ATX is the fact that the festival covers a magnitude of genres when it comes to TV. The fact that stars from Teen Wolf, The Leftovers, Girl Meets World and Gilmore Girls can all commune in one city to share in their love of television is something special, which is why the stars love coming out to support as well.

If you haven’t visited ATX yet, I’d highly recommend it. This is one of the few festivals where your favorite stars are easily accessible and approachable. Where else can you walk around and run into Christopher Eccleston, Tyler Posey or Damon Lindelof, and not just run into them, but get to actually speak to them and interact with them? Heck, I had a five minute conversation with Empire co-creator Danny Strong about the character Porsha, Cookie’s personal assistant. It’s those kinds of experiences, along with the entertaining and informative panels, that make this one of the festivals we absolutely look forward to attending each year.
