‘Supergirl’ Set to Premiere After ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Returns

It should come as no surprise to fans that CBS would set Supergirl up with a great lead-in and it doesn’t get much better than The Big Bang Theory.

CBS released a look at the highly anticipated new series last month and has finally told fans what date to mark on their calendars for the premiere. The show will debut on Monday October 26th at 8:30 pm, following an original episode of The Big Bang Theory.

If you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know what Supergirl is about, we can help you out, thanks to CBS. The series will follow Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, who escaped Krypton amid its destruction years ago, hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman, since arriving on Earth. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be. Former Glee actress Melissa Benoist stars as the titular character.
