‘The Originals’ Star Phoebe Tonkin Talks Getting Even with Klaus

Phoebe Tonkin’s character on The Originals was left in a bit of a bind by the time the series wrapped its second season, so when we return she’ll have to first figure her way out of it, then get her baby back…then plot some extreme revenge.

Hayley is currently stuck in her wolf form, thanks to baby daddy Klaus, and while we can all assume she’ll be returning to her human form sooner rather than later, it sounds like the hybrid will be “really angry” whenever she does, and rightfully so.

“I think more than anything, she’s angry that, you know, he betrayed her, but more than anything it’s like she misses her kid,” said Tonkin. “He’s the reason why she’s not with her kid right now and it’s heartbreaking, so I think before she does anything, she’s going to go and be with her baby and then she’s going to plot huge revenge against him.”

Uh-oh…we know how bloody revenge can get on this show and for Phoebe, the darker the revenge on Klaus, the better. “I think she’s plotting various ways and I think those new characters- there may be other ways that the Mikaelsons can be killed besides the White Oak Stake and I think, yeah, she’s going to find a way,” hinted the actress.

“Look, I don’t think Hayley wants Klaus dead. I think she wants to make him suffer as much as she suffered, but I don’t think she wants him dead because at the end of the day, he’s still the father of her child. She wants the baby to have a mom and dad. She never had family and I think it’s really important to her, so she’s going to really try hard to at least maintain some sort of level of being amicable with each other just for the baby.”

And for those of you hoping there’s still potential for Klaus and Hayley, Phoebe says that at this point, there’s only the potential of them “being in the same room together.”
