‘The X-Files’ Revival Adds Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose

We hope Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose are believers because the two have just joined the cast of the upcoming X-Files revival.

The two are both set to appear in one episode of the limited event series, with Amell portraying the “smart” and “smooth” Agent Miller, and Ambrose appearing as the “sharp” and “confident” Agent Einstein, according to Variety.

Amell has most recently been seen appearing in the hit CW superhero series The Flash as Ronnie Raymond aka Firestorm, while Ambrose, best known for her role in Six Feet Under, is currently co-starring in the new USA series Dig.

The X-Files revival will see the return of originals stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner) and William B. Davis (The Smoking Man). X-Files production vets Glen Morgan and James Wong are also confirmed to return writers-producers. It was also previously announced that Joel McHale will guest star.

If you haven’t seen the show’s first teaser, we suggest you click here and catch yourself up!

The X-Files limited event will debut with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, Jan. 24 (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT).
