Caroline is going to be one busy vampire (and possibly get busy) during this season of The Vampire Diaries.

Candice Accola, who plays Caroline in the series, was pleasant and more than happy to talk about what’s ahead for her character when she visited Comic-Con this year. Although the vamp will still be working through the pain of losing her mother, she’ll have plenty to keep her preoccupied between trying to figure things out with Stefan and saving Mystic Falls from the heretics.

“I know that when we come back into season seven Caroline’s still grieving the death of her mother and trying to get her own life together and her main goal is to just keep a friendship with Stefan and to distract herself,” said Accola. “She’s also trying to combat the heretics and Lily, and she’s very involved in, kind of, that drama. We’re going to see how the town of Mystic Falls gets to be where it is, which is what we got a glimpse of at the end of season six. Caroline will be very busy amidst all the chaos.”

It’s great to know that although she’ll be going through her own personal issues, Caroline won’t let them stand in the way of helping out where she’s needed…so will she let them stand in the way of a potential love connection with Stefan? “It will definitely be a little more challenging than Caroline anticipated to figure out what kind of ‘ship she has with Stefan. Whether it’s a friendship or a relationship. We’re going to see her struggle with being able to play it cool.” Sounds promising for Steroline shippers!
