The Lyons are Back and Ready to Roar in New ‘Empire’ Teaser

Judging from the first season two teaser of Empire, the label is still on top, even though it’s head Lyon is locked up.

The new promo, a first look at the show’s highly anticipated second season, is complete with glitz, drama and performances galore. We see glimpses of Hakeem and Jamal performing at a Free Lucious benefit concert, Anika looking like she’s back on the team (I wonder how Cookie will react when she finds out he went from one older woman to another), Andre seemingly doing well, and more interesting scenes as the the telling captions “New music, new money, new power, new Empire” flash across the screen.

Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Adam Rodriguez and others are set to join the cast in the next season. Recently it was announced that Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland will be making an appearance as Lucious Lyon’s mother in a flashback.

Look out for the Lyons to strike when Empire returns to FOX on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9pm.
