Grant Gustin Teases ‘The Flash’ Season 2

Grant Gustin sat down with us to tease what’s coming up next for The Flash in Season 2, and we have the details!!

We’ll be seeing a couple of new characters coming up, including Patty (Central City’s answer to Felicity Smoak) and a new mentor for Barry as early as the second episode. Speaking of episode 2, Gustin dropped the bomb that that’s when we’ll be seeing Barry using his powers in a brand new way. He couldn’t tell us exactly what to expect, but hinted that it involves lightning. Can’t wait!

Bad news for the Barry/Iris fans, though. That relationship is going to be taking a backseat for a while, as Iris’s fiancé nobly sacrificed himself to save everyone at the end of last season. According to Gustin, the two are just going to be trying to be there for each other for now. That being said, let’s not forget that this is a CW show. I’d say the good money is on that particular ship coming in eventually.
