‘The Leftovers’ Trailer Marks a New Beginning for The Garveys

HBO has finally released a trailer for the upcoming second season of The Leftovers.

The second season of the show will focus on Kevin Garvey and his family finding a new place to start over, following the horrific events that the Guilty Remnant caused last summer. The clan will all move to Miracle, Texas, the one small town in the country that experienced 0 departures, when 2% of the world’s population inexplicably vanished more than three years ago.

When we pick back up, Kevin’s daughter Jill is more than happy to get the hell out of dodge, Nora Durst is fine going wherever as long as she can take her new baby with her, Kevin’s ex-wife, Laurie, has seen the light and left the GR and Kevin’s son, Tom, “may have finally discovered a cause to help replace the pain in his heart,” according to the network.

Take a look at the trailer below, keep an eye out for a returning face you may not have been expecting (unless you read all of FanBolt’s coverage of course) and prepare for another rollercoaster of a season:

Returning for regular roles in the second season are: Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Carrie Coon, Ann Dowd, Margaret Qualley, Chris Zylka, Regina King, Kevin Carroll, Jovan Adepo and Janel Moloney.

The Leftovers returns to HBO on Sunday, October 4th at 9pm.
