Mariah Carey Is Next Big ‘Empire’ Guest Star (According to Lee Daniels)

Lee Daniels has put Mariah Carey’s name out there as the next guest star to appear in his hit show Empire, although nothing official is lined up at the moment.

Daniels made the announcement at Carey’s Walk of Fame ceremony on Wednesday, but it seems that could have just been a remark made in the moment, because THR sources told them that “there is currently no deal in place for Carey to appear.” FOX has also declined to comment on the appearance as well.

It’s no secret that Lee has been gunning to get the diva on his show and now that it’s proven to be a massive hit, he’s had no difficulty landing some big names for the hip-hop drama’s sophomore season.

If Mariah appears on the show, she’ll be joining the already impressive list of season two guest stars including: Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Ne-Yo, Kelly Rowland, Becky G and Ludacris.
