‘Orange is the New Black’ Star Uzo Aduba and ‘Glee’ Star Amber Riley Join ‘The Wiz Live!’

The cast of NBC’s The Wiz Live! keeps getting better and better! Orange is the New Black‘s breakout star Uzo Aduba and Glee star Amber Riley are bringing their talents to the live televised production.

Essence broke the news that the two have joined the cast, revealing that Aduba will be taking on the role of Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, while Riley will play Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North.

“We look forward to showcasing the amazing musical talents of Amber, and we are eager to introduce Uzo’s remarkable singing voice for those who know her solely as an extraordinary dramatic actress,” Wiz executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement.

This news comes on the heels of newcomer Shanice Williams being revealed as the show’s star, Dorothy.

In addition to Williams, Adubo and Riley join an impressive cast that currently includes Queen Latifah as The Wiz; Mary J. Blige as Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West; David Alan Grier as The Cowardly Lion; and the original production’s Dorothy, Stephanie Mills, as Auntie Em.

Ease on down the road when The Wiz Live! airs on NBC, Thursday, Dec. 3.
