‘The Strain’ Will Return to Infect Audiences for a Third Season

The news of Eph’s new ‘do must be good luck because FX has announced that The Strain will return for a third season.

Fans who want to know more about the strigoi and see whether or not humanity stands a chance, will get their wish, with the network announcing that the show will indeed be back for a third season.

The announcement was made today by Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions. “Guillermo and Carlton have delivered two thrilling seasons of The Strain that are captivating and visually arresting, doing justice to the original novel trilogy and meeting fans’ high expectations in the process,” said Schrier. “We’re excited to see them carry this powerful story into a third season on FX.”

This season has been action-packed, with New York quickly becoming an infected hub for the vampires and Ephraim and co. trying to figure out a way to stop the spread. New characters have been introduced and old characters have stepped up in surprising ways, all in hopes to take down the Master and end the strigoi invasion that has taken over the city.

The second season of The Strain continues Sundays at 10pm on FX.
