Syfy Announces ‘Childhood’s End’ Premiere Date

Syfy has announced the premiere date for their upcoming miniseries Childhood’s End.

The network revealed that its television event will air over three consecutive nights on Monday, December 14, Tuesday, December 15 and Wednesday, December 16 from 8-10PM (ET/PT).

You can read more about the series, per Syfy, below:

Childhood’s End follows the peaceful invasion of Earth by the alien Overlords, who promise to eliminate poverty, war and sickness – ushering in a golden age of peace, health and security for all of humankind. But why do the Overlords insist on hiding their appearance – and what do they ultimately want from Earth? While much of the world enjoys its newfound utopia, some suspect there’s a price to pay. As the truth about the Overlords’ intentions are revealed, humanity will discover its actual destiny may actually be a nightmare, instead of a dream.

The six-hour television event stars Charles Dance, whom many recognize as Game of Thrones villain Tywin Lannister, as Karellen, the ambassador for the Overlords. Joining him in the cast are Mike Vogel (Under the Dome) as Ricky Stormgren, a midwestern farmer whose life is turned upside down when he is named the sole human ambassador for the Overlords and Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck) as Rupert Boyce, an enigmatic American entrepreneur.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch the first teaser, head on over and check it out.
