Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Wife Welcome First Child

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a first-time dad!

The star’s rep confirmed that Levitt and his wife Tasha McCauley welcomed a son into their family over the weekend of Aug. 15 to the Los Angeles Times.

“Everyone’s happy and healthy,” a source told Us Weekly.

While the news is surprising, the actor is known for being hush-hush when it comes to his private life, having secretly married McCauley at a secret ceremony on December 20, 2014. The two started dating 2013.

McCauley may not be an actress, but she’s far from average. Not only is she the cofounder and chief executive of the Silicon Valley-based robotics company Fellow Robots, but the tech entrepreneur can also speak 3 different languages! With impressive credentials like that, it sounds like JGL could be the trophy in the relationship (think George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin).

JGL’s upcoming projects include Season 4 of The Mindy Project on Hulu, comedy The Night Before (co-starring Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie), an upcoming Fraggle Rock live-action film, and Snowden, Oliver Stone’s Edward Snowden biopic, which is due out on Christmas Day.

The actor’s rep would not reveal any further info, like name or exact date of birth, about the couple’s son.
