‘Finding Carter’ Adds ‘Twilight’ Star Jackson Rathbone

Jackson Rathbone has joined the cast of MTV’s Finding Carter for its seconds season.

The actor, best known for his role as the silent, but intense, vampire Jasper Hale in the Twilight franchise, will carve out his storyline in the MTV drama during the upcoming season.

According to MTV, Rathbone will play Jared, “a charismatic, edgy owner of a hip local bar — and sparks will fly between him and his new employee Carter.”

Looks like Carter’s (Kathryn Prescott) getting a new boy toy…but how old is this Jared supposed to be? If you watch the series, you know that Carter has interesting taste in guys, so it should be fun (and dramatic) to see how this new relationship will progress.

Since Twilight wrapped, Rathbone has appeared in White Collar, NTSF:SD:SUV, and the web series Aim High, among other projects.

Along with Prescott and Rathbone, Finding Carter stars Cynthia Watros as “Elizabeth Wilson” (Lost), Anna Jacoby-Heron as “Taylor Wilson” (Contagion), Alexis Denisof as “David Wilson” (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/ Angel), Alex Saxon as “Max” (The Fosters) and Zac Pullam as “Grant.” The series also features Milena Govich as “Lori” (Law and Order), Meredith Baxter as “Grandma Joan” (Family Ties) and Robert Pine as “Grandpa Buddy” (CHiPs).

The Georgia-filmed series returns to MTV Tuesday, October 6 at 10/9c!
