‘Pretty Little Liars’ Intro Gets Makeover to Match Time-Jump

Pretty Little Liars may be a completely different show when it returns. Not only will the girls be five-years older, but the show’s intro, which has been around since the first season, will get a makeover.

PLL executive producer I. Marlene King confirmed to a fan that the classic intro, featuring the girls standing around their friend’s casket and ending with Lucy Hale’s finale “shh”, would be retired in 6B and that audiences can look forward to everyone having their own turn to “shh.”

Take a look at King’s tweet for yourself:

It makes sense that the intro would get a new look, considering how everyone in the series will be different when we see them again, even the ever-secretive Alison. “…with the time jump, all of those years that have passed, she also has changed a lot and reinvented herself,” said Sasha Pieterse about her character. “I think she’s more of an honest person. That will also come together with her love life and the way she handles her relationships. I think the fans are honestly going to be happy with the outcome. It is what it is with her. She’s a difficult person even if she doesn’t want to be.”

Pretty Little Liars returns to ABC Family in January 2016.
