AMC Releases New ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 Key Art

AMC has released a new piece of key art from the upcoming season of The Walking Dead.

The poster simply features Rick along with the show abbreviation TWD, which gives fans less to theorize about than previously released artwork from the new season, but is still something to tide them over (in addition to Fear The Walking Dead) until the show’s return.

Creator Robert Kirkman has hinted that season six could end up being the darkest and bleakest of them yet, but also explains that the show is about so much more than that. “People talk about how The Walking Dead is bleak, and if you take a certain cross-section of the story, then yeah. Horrible,” Kirkman told Marc Maron during a podcast interview. “People have their loved ones eaten and they have a horrible time. But I see the story from beginning to end, over many many years about humanity overcoming this insurmountable apocalyptic situation.”
