Amy Schumer Covers Dating, Drinking and ‘Trainwreck’ in HBO Special Trailer

Amy Schumer’s upcoming HBO special will feature an hour of the comedienne doing what she does best, indulging in some hilarious self-deprecating humor paired with an entire bottle of wine.

Amy Schumer Live At The Apollo, Schumer’s first HBO special, was directed by Chris Rock and taped May 29 before a live audience at New York’s iconic Apollo Theater, and will air for fans around the country next month.

The funnywoman has been enjoying an eventful year, from winning a Critics Choice Award for her series Inside Amy Schumer (which she also created, stars in, writes and produces) to the success of her romantic comedy Trainwreck, which she also wrote and stars in. Her stand-up special on Comedy Central, Mostly Sex Stuff, stands as the highest-rated original stand-up special on the network since 2011.

Schumer joins long list of famous comedians who have landed HBO specials including: Louis C.K., Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, George Carlin, Jamie Foxx, Jerry Seinfeld, George Lopez, Sarah Silverman, Bill Maher, Katt Williams, Wanda Sykes and Lewis Black.

Schumer’s HBO special will debut HBO stand-up special, debuts Saturday, Oct. 17th at 10:00 ET/PT.
