Is The Splat Nickelodeon’s Upcoming ’90s-Centric Network?

If there’s one thing we know and understand, kids who grew up in the ’90s were serious about their Nickelodeon cartoons. Everyone had their programs of choice and now those shows could be making a comeback in the form of The Splat.

A Nickelodeon executive recently teased the idea of the network revisiting its classic catalog, now that the kids that originally enjoyed the shows are the ones with kids now. “We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way,” Russell Hicks, president of content and development at Nickelodeon, recently told Variety.

Now, social media sites for The Splat, Nickelodeon’s rumored channel that will bring back all of the classics, have popped up all over and display the network’s signature ’90s logo and a mash-up video of some of the popular cartoons on its Youtube page including Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, Hey Arnold!, Rocko’s Modern Life, Rocket Power, CatDog, The Wild Thornberries and more:

There have also been some pretty interesting social media posts going out courtesy of The Splat:
