‘American Horror Story: Hotel’, ‘Supernatural’ Among Twitter’s Most Buzzed About Shows

Twitter has released their list of the most tweeted TV shows for the fall, both new and returning, and among the most talked about are American Horror Story: Hotel, Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural and more.

In an increasingly digital age, a TV show’s social buzz plays a larger and larger role in predicting premiere audience sizes and determining the success of the overall show. Ratings still matter, they always will, but social media allows for a different kind of rating, more immediate and brutally honest.

Twitter has released their list of the top tweeted shows, giving audiences an idea of what others are excited to watch over the next few months. The findings, based on Nielson research, show that fans are most excited about their returning shows, but a handful of new series’ are also already establishing pretty large followings, even before their premieres.
