‘Scream Queens’ Star Jamie Lee Curtis Re-creates Iconic ‘Psycho’ Scene

Scream Queens most notable scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis is recreating her mom and fellow scream queen’s iconic scene from Psycho.

When you think about Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 thriller Psycho, one of first the scenes that probably comes to mind is the shower scene, in which Marion Crane, played by Curtis’ mom Janet Leigh, is brutally murdered by Norman Bates. It’s one of horror’s classic moments and now Jamie is re-creating it for a new generation in an upcoming episode of Scream Queens.

Jamie tweeted an awesome pic of herself holding her mom’s Psycho still and tweeting, “Recreated Mom’s PSYCHO shower scene 4 a special ep of @ScreamQueens @JOAQUINSEDILLO #ScreamQueens Tues 9/22 8pm FOX.”

The pic makes us wonder whether Ryan Murphy pay tribute to the film by having Jamie go out in the same way her mom did, since we know the majority of the cast won’t make it out of this season alive.

It was also recently announced that two TV legends, Alan Thicke (Growing Pains) and Julia Duffy (Newhart) have been added to the cast as the parents of Chad (Glen Powell) and Thad (Patrick Schwarzenneger) Radwell. Chad Michael Murray rounds out the Radwell family as oldest son…wait for it…Brad.

Scream Queens heads to FOX with a special, two-hour event on Tuesday, Sept. 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Are you excited for the show’s premiere?
