If you’re a fan who believes Jon Snow will return to the new season Game of Thrones alive and well, Maisie Williams is here to (once again) burst that bubble.

During her red carpet interviews for yesterday’s Emmys the question of Jon Snow’s current state naturally came up. When asked if Jon Snow was alive Maisie simply laughed and told TV Line, “No. He’s dead. Sorry.” The star, who plays Arya Stark in the series, also went on to say that a recent interview that seemed to confirm Snow’s return is a fake. “And the interview you’ve all read that think that Kit spoiled it is fabricated and it is totally false.”

In case you don’t know about the interview that the actress is referring to, co-star Kit Harington’s interesting statements during a recent radio interview. “Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over. One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer on Thrones is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects (laughs).”

As far as what’s in store for the Arya in the new season, Maisie teased, “Arya may be fighting blind.”
