Mila Kunis and Rob Zombie Ink ‘Trapped’ Deal with Starz


Starz is ready to expand their foray into horror-comedy territory, announcing today that they’ve inked a deal with horror director Rob Zombie and actress Mila Kunis to develop a new series, Trapped.

With Ash vs Evil Dead all ready to go, the network has now added another horror-comedy to their roster. Trapped is a half-hour series that takes places over a single night in the home of a wealthy family under attack by a murderous cult. The series was created and written by Joey Slamon (Arrested Development) and will be produced in association with Mila Kunis’ Orchard Farm Productions, with Kunis serving as executive producer.

Zombie, who has signed on to direct, is known for his career as a rockstar,as well as a praised horror producer/director, responsible for films such as House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects and his 2007 Halloween remake.

“We’re excited to work in partnership with Rob Zombie as well as Mila Kunis and her Orchard Farm Productions associates Susan Curtis, Cami Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov on this horror comedy series,” said Starz Managing Director Carmi Zlotnik.

Susan Curtis, Cami Curtis and Lisa Sterbakov of Orchard Farm Productions are also set to executive produce.
