Christopher Mintz-Plasse Joins Will Arnett’s Netflix Comedy ‘Flaked’

Christopher Mintz-Plasse has joined the cast of Will Arnett’s upcoming Netflix comedy Flaked.

The series, co-created by Arnett and Mark Chappell, is set in Venice, California and follows the story of a self-appointed “guru” (Arnett) who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination. The jig doesn’t last too long as the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel.

Mintz-Plasse has signed on to recur as a “tech whiz kid new to Venice and desperate to fit in.”

Executive producers Will Arnett and Mark Chappell (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret) co-created and co-wrote the series. Ben Silverman (Founder and Chairman of Electus), Peter Principato and Mitch Hurwitz (Arrested Development) also serve as executive producers on the show.

“We’re very excited to partner with Netflix– the home of original, original content — and the network I knew would be the ideal home for this passion project,” said Will Arnett in a statement when the project was announced.

In addition to Mintz-Plasse, Heather Graham, Kirstie Alley, Lina Esco, Travis Mills and Robert Wisdom were previously announced as recurring cast members.

Eight episodes of the series will premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2016.
