CW Orders Additional ‘iZombie’, ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ Scripts

If you’re ready for the second season of iZombie or the series premiere of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, you’re in for a treat!

The CW has announced that they’ve ordered 5 additional scripts of both series’, forshadowing a solid second season of hit series iZombie, as well as putting lots of faith in the yet-to-premiere Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

iZombie‘s executive producer Rob Thomas has teased that when the show returns, Liv (Rose McIver) is in a pretty dark place. “She’s taken some comfort in work, but everything outside of work is sort of a nightmare for her as we start the season. There is not a lot going on for her as we pick up Season 2 beyond the job,” he told TV Line.

If you (somehow) haven’t heard about the network’s first musical series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, starring Rachel Bloom, here’s a brief synopsis (via The CW):

Rebecca Bunch is a successful, driven, and possibly crazy young woman who impulsively gives up everything – her partnership at a prestigious law firm and her upscale apartment in Manhattan – in a desperate attempt to find love and happiness in that exotic hotbed of romance and adventure: suburban West Covina, Calif. (it’s only two hours from the beach! Four in traffic).

iZombie heads back to The CW tomorrow night and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premieres next Monday, Oct. 12.
