‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Pre-Production Is Underway

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 pre-production has begun in Atlanta which means lots more famous faces will be popping up in the city fairly soon.

The sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy will film at Pinewood studios, so residents of the city can look forward to Chris Pratt (who is currently in town filming Passengers opposite Jennifer Lawrence), Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista sightings when filming kicks off in February.

In addition to the Guardians team, fans can expect Michael Rooker (Yondu), Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Sean Gunn (Kraglin) to make appearances in the movie as well.

Director James Gunn is already in the city for the film’s pre-production process, recently posting a picture of himself and two recognizable faces at a going away party with the caption, “Two Directors One Diesel, with Vin Diesel and James Wan at my going away party last night before I leave for Atlanta for ten months to shoot GotG Vol 2. One of the best times I’ve had in a while, with so many great friends. Thanks to all who came!”

Shortly after, the director updated fans on when he was headed to the city.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters May 5, 2017.
