Taylor Swift Leads 2015 American Music Awards Nominations

Taylor Swift leads the pack in the 2015 American Music Awards nominations that were announced today…and in other news water is wet.

You have to admit the news isn’t that surprising. These days you can pretty much count on Taylor (who currently has 16 career AMAs under her belt) heading up the pack at all music awards shows. The star leads this year with six noms and following behind her are Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd tying with five nominations each.

The Artist of the Year nominees are Luke Bryan, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor and The Weeknd.

Other nominated artists include Chris Brown, Luke Bryan, Drake, Fetty Wap and Florida Georgia Line.

This year’s prizegiving will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez, who will also perform.
