Netflix and Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Trailer Previews Mind-Bending Cat-and-Mouse Game

The first official trailer for Netflix’s new series Marvel’s Jessica Jones is finally here, giving us a look at the reluctant hero as her old nemesis comes back to torment her.

The series stars Kristen Ritter as the title character, as she tries to get her life back together after an unseen tragedy. We’re also quickly introduced to Mike Coulter’s Luke Cage, a bar owner, fellow superhero and Jessica’s eventual love interest.

“The way I see it, being a hero puts a target on your back,” a revealing statement by Cage to Jessica about living the superhero’s life. “Yeah, been there done that,” agrees Jessica, hinting at a dark history that will undoubtedly be revealed in the series.

Those of you who’ve been wanting to see more of David Tennant’s Kilgrave are in for a treat as well. “What if there was someone else out there? What if his ability was to make people do whatever he wanted?” a nervous Jessica wonders in the trailer, and with that we have our intro to the villain. Seconds later we see him compelling an unsuspecting man to let him into his home, restrains his family and does Lord knows what with them.

“Jessica, I’m the only one who matches you,” teases the Purple Man.

The wait is over! Take a look at the new trailer below:

In addition to Ritter, Coulter and Tennant, Jessica Jones also stars Carrie Ann Moss (The Matrix), Eka Darville (The Originals) and Rachael Taylor (Grey’s Anatomy).

Marvel’s Jessica Jones premieres November 20th on Netflix.
