Monsters Are Everywhere in New ‘X-Files’ Promo


“We’ve been given another case Mulder,”Scully (Gillian Anderson) warns Mulder (David Duchovny) in FOX’s latest promo for The X-Files. “It has a monster in it.” Don’t they always?

The latest look at the series’ teases monsters and all the things that go bump in the night including a dude with a terribly disfigured face, bodies being dragged away by unknown assailants, a pair of kids with some extraordinary powers, whatever or whoever is coming it’s hair in a tub, explosions and more!

While the voiceover leads us to believe Mulder and Scully are fully aware of what they’re in for, the clips we’re shown has us a little less sure. Check out the new promo below:

The series returns with original stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, William B. Davis and Mitch Pileggi also as FBI Agents Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, the Cigarette Smoking Man and Walter Skinner. Joining the cast are Joel McHale (Community), Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Lauren Ambrose (Dig, Six Feet Under), Annabeth Gish (The Bridge), Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) and Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley)

The X-Files returns to FOX with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, Jan. 24 (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT), following the NFC Championship game and continuing with its normal time period premiere on Monday, Jan. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).
